Following yesterday’s cyber shopping mayhem is an inspired call to goodwill. This year, Giving Tuesday falls at a very necessary time for the Jewish homeland. Israel has been ravaged by arson-induced wildfires fueled further by dry, windy weather. Thousands of homes destroyed and tens of thousands of residents evacuated; terror strikes yet again leaving the Holy Land in absolute devastation.
“Hardest hit was Haifa,” reports the Times of Israel, “where 527 apartments were destroyed completely leaving 1,600 people homeless, and from which 75,000 people had to be evacuated as the flames threatened 11 neighborhoods. Zichron Yaakov, the Jerusalem Hills and parts of the West Bank were also affected, with dozens of homes damaged or destroyed.”
Countries from around the world have rushed to Israel’s aid battling the blazes that engulfed the country, now, it’s our turn to step up, pray for peace and provide support for the victims left to rebuild. Here, 4 worthy ways to give to Israel this Giving Tuesday, and beyond. #IsraelUnderFire
